Gap Year
I didn`t take a Gap Year whilst I was at university but looking back it might have been a good option. I`ve spoken to numerous students who have benefited by taking a break from their studies by going over to foreign shores to help people in need. There are a number of projects running at the moment and students can become volunteers during their Gap Year to help out with the worthy causes. The time spent on the project can be eye-opening and people will certainly learn more about the wider World, as well as learning more about themselves during their time away. It might seem a little daunting to organise such a project but help is on hand if the student prefers. Companies are set up that can help to arrange a Gap Year and they have contacts around the world. They can help to plan the ittinerary from day one and one of their representatives will always be available to look after any needs that the student might have. Finding the funds for such a project might be the only obstacle. However, plenty of sponsors are out there who will be willing to help with the costs if the student can show them what a worthy cause they are doing it for.

Mailing Sacks
I needed some Mailing Sacks for the office, being new to this job I was not sure where they would usually be bought from, the office manager was away so I used my initiative and had a look online first, my plan being to just get them off there for now looking for a good price. I had been at this company for just a week, having previously worked in retail, it was very different to my usual day to day work. For a start it was unusual for me interacting with the same people every day, when your working in retail like I was, I was meeeting customers, talking to different people and communicating with different people from different places every day, so to be in a quiet office environment now was a vast change. Although up to now I am enjoying it, however I do feel like I have so much to learn, the previous admin assistant left on bad terms so I was pretty much starting from scratch, the office manager had given me some training before she went on holiday but it was pretty much up to me to figure it out by myself. I found the Mailing Sacks and also ordered a few more bits we needed from the stationers online, when the Mailing Sacks arrived I was very glad they were just what I needed, I am so glad I did not mess it up!
